Top 5 Favorite Self Published Novels

I know self pubs get a bad wrap. But not all are created equal. Some leave me utterly confused as to why they aren't traditionally published? Who is their right mind said NO?! Then I realized that maybe some people want to self pub their books. Nothing wrong with that. I've found some amazing self pubs lately and I can't wait to read more great books. If you've not had the pleasure of reading a self published book, let me suggest a few. Now, these aren't just any self pubs. I'd rank these as high as Anna and the French Kiss and Catching Jordan. I hope you love them as much as I do!

  1. My first encounter with self pub was The Curse Girl by Kate Avery Ellison and I thought it was amazing! Only problem: it was really short (under 200 pages). I couldn't imaging this wasn't published the traditional way. But I must say unfortunately there are also a lot of bad self pub books. So I'm a bit hesitant about them, but I'm checking out your Top 5!

  4. Oh! This makes me so happy. I'm just honored. And what a great bunch of writers to be featured with! I've also read 10 Weeks and loved it as well. Can't wait to read the others!

Thank you so, so much, Mary! I love that you love my book. :o) <3

  5. The thing about self-published books; most of the time, I don't like the covers.. and those are - even if I don't want to - important for me.

  7. I've read several self published books some are brilliant and some are not but I find the same with the traditionally published books. I don't mind how a book is published, if I like it I like it and if I don't I don't.

    Nice post :)

  8. I liked What a Boy Wants too! :)
My current favorites are Slammed by Colleen Hoover (okay, this is ex-self-published) and Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay.

  9. I might pick up one of these, except for 10 Weeks. I couldn't stand reading "Kay-Kay" over and over...sorry :) But I'm glad you opened up my eyes to self-pub books!
